They were together for three years. They overcame many hardships and supported each other.
They were happy together. They lived together for two years and never regretted their relationship and decisions. Their friends and families supported them too. Yoongi was grateful for Jimin being his boyfriend. He couldn’t imagine someone else besides him.
Jimin made him happy whenever he was sad. They loved each other deeply. Yoongi was thinking about making him officially his. He wanted to propose to him. He looked at the ring he had. On it was written:
Yoongi smiled when he imagined Jimin’s reaction when he got home. It was four days before their anniversary. He planned a trip with dinner in a fancy restaurant where he wanted to propose to Jimin on their anniversary. He hid the ring and went to work. He was spacing out at work, frowning and worrying if everything would go according to his plan. His boss yelled at him that he should work or find a better job if he didn’t want to work there. Yoongi sighed and returned to the papers before him.
That day everything changed drastically. Yoongi was finishing his work and getting ready to go home when he got a phone call. It was his friend Jung Hoseok.
“Yoongi, sorry that I am calling you when you are at work, but something happened…..I-I can’t reach Jimin…..he isn’t answering his phone…..and he left today……after dance class saying weird things…..looking so sad….he told me to say goodbye to you and that he wants to live longer…..” Hoseok was spluttering and sobbing.
Yoongi became worried too. Jimin was happy during this week, smiling and cheerful. They visited some places together and made good memories. He ended the call by saying that he would find him. He took his bag and ran home. Jimin wasn’t there. Yoongi left his things there and ran to Jimin’s favourite place. To the sea. He found him lying on the sand, waves going through his body. He wasn’t breathing. Yoongi tried to give him first aid, but Jimin was no longer alive. He drowned himself. Yoongi tried to wake him up while crying. He wrapped his arms around him, babbling about how they were happy and he loved him. Hoseok found him like this and called an ambulance. They tried to defibrillate, but it was too late. Yoongi didn’t want to let Jimin go. Hoseok had to take care of everything. He got Yoongi to get home.
He found there Jimin’s goodbye letter. He left it before his death on their bed. Yoongi couldn’t open it, but he forced himself. He read it.
“Please don’t forget about me when I won’t be here anymore…..Keep me in your mind…..don’t forget about me……remember all good memories…..don’t cry, live your life…..find new love…I will love you forever…..You were, you are, and you will be the only one I love…… Don’t be sad for too long…..You are young; you should live…..this wasn’t your fault…..it was mine……so find new love……be happy, not for me, but yourself…….I was, and I will die happy and loved…..”
Yoongi couldn’t help but cry his eyes out because of the sadness he felt. His heart was broken. He felt like there was a hole in his chest. He couldn’t breathe properly. He passed out.
The next day he woke up and looked around for Jimin. Then it hit him what happened yesterday. He cried, remembering their times together. He took his phone and scrolled through photos of him and Jimin.
The first sports competition they did together was at one event.
Jimin loved cosplay, and Yoongi had to do it with him. In the end, he enjoyed them because he could see Jimin smile. When Jimin was happy, he was delighted too.
Yoongi’s first time at Jimin’s dance class, watching him. He was stunned by him, and he fell in love with him.
Yoongi remembered how he dragged Jimin after one failed dance to the museum and ran around with him. They were scolded by security and had to leave. Yoongi laughed, and Jimin smiled, shaking his head at how his best friend could sometimes behave irresponsibly.
Yoongi took the photo of Jimin when he asked him to be his boyfriend, and Jimin was shy but accepted. They were so happy.
Once Jimin forced him to cosplay as a high school student, and Yoongi had to dress up as a girl. Jimin then called him Yoonji. They laughed together.
They had so many photos of them together from every place they visited or just from enjoying their time at home.
He remembered when he was with Hoseok and called Jimin to ask him what he was doing. He wondered if he was in Daegu, and Jimin said he was in Yoongi’s heart. Yoongi then blushed and couldn’t look at Hoseok.
Jimin was clingy when they were alone, and he had to get a piggyback ride from Yoongi. And Yoongi took a photo of that time.
Jimin’s birthday. That was the last photo where they were together in the picture. Yoongi was done scrolling through his phone and remembering everything. He wanted to see Jimin again. He wanted Jimin so severely. He wanted him back, so he decided.
He went to the bathroom and filled a bathtub with water. He sat inside, took the razor blade and cut his wrists. He closed his eyes and thought about Jimin and that he will see him again. When he was losing consciousness, he heard someone knocking on his door. It was Hoseok. He was worried about his friend and came to check on him. Yoongi didn’t answer the door. Hoseok found a spare key and unlocked the door. He looked for Yoongi and found him in the bathroom. He immediately called the ambulance and tried to stop the bleeding.
Yoongi woke up in the hospital and saw Hoseok beside his bed. Hoseok cried and hugged his friend when he saw him awake. He scolded him and told him off. He was so worried. Yoongi had to promise him that he never do such a thing again.
Two years passed, and Yoongi was going daily to Jimin’s grave. He was talking to him. Hoseok supported him through this time. After the first year had passed, Yoongi allowed Hoseok to live with him. He didn’t want to be alone, and Hoseok wanted to keep an eye on him. Hoseok was worried about him. But from his point of view, he did it all because he loves Yoongi. He loved him from the time when they went to college together. He supported Yoongi’s relationship with Jimin, even if it meant being lonely.
After a few more years, Hoseok tried to confess his feelings. Yoongi accepted it but said he wanted to take it slowly because of Jimin and his feelings. Hoseok agreed.
In the end, Yoongi found new love but never forgot Jimin and his memories with him. Jimin helped him to open up to people and taught him how to have fun. He was grateful that Jimin could be part of his life.
