Graduation came at last. Your mom was thrilled. She will start a new life. College. New friends. No more bullies. It will be alright soon.
The time came. Last exam. Final test. Final of everything. She was happy that it was the end of the hell she was through. School ended, and everyone was cheering. They formed groups which headed to have a good time together. Your mom was going home to celebrate with her family.
The next day she got a call from your father. He wanted to meet. She agreed and prepared to scold him if necessary. They met at the park. He was waiting for her. He led her to a bench near the lake where they could have privacy. He took out a bouquet of roses.
“Will you be my girlfriend, please?” he asked as he went down on one knee.
She was shocked. She didn’t expect something like this. It was like a proposal. She burst into tears.
“After everything, I gladly will,” she answered while crying happily.
He stood up and hugged her. They kissed. Now their happiness finally began. They will soon be adults too. They stayed there and talked until night. They caught up on their feelings for each other. Future plans were mentioned. They were a couple now. Your father wanted this for so long. Your mother was delighted that his feelings never changed towards her.
They ended high school together, and from now on, they will be together as a family too. Too soon to be talking about that now. They walked together alongside a river holding hands. He walked her home and promised to message her a good night. Your mom couldn’t have a happier end of high school than this one.
