Stella wasn’t expected what would happen the next school day. She came to school as usual and saw others whispering when they saw her. She was confused as to what it was about. Maybe it was about her break up with ChimChim. She shook her head. That didn’t feel like it. Ayame came to Stella during recess and asked her about ChimChim.
“We are over,” she said.
“I thought so. You see, others saw what happened yesterday,” Ayame sighed. “They are saying nasty rumours about you.”
So that’s what it was, she thought.
“Does Angel know about the whole thing, too?” Stella asked worriedly.
“Yeah. And from the look of it, Angel believes them,” Ayame revealed the painful truth.
“I see, so I have to clear that one,” Stella murmured. “Can you bring him to me at lunch? We will speak at our hiding spot at the top stairs.”
Stella was determined to at least talk some sense into Angel. She thought he was an idiot if he believed everything he heard. She hoped he would believe her. Nasty rumours were circling as a storm – about her sleeping around with ChimChim, also that someone saw her kissing Rebellious Chim. It was supposed to be a very heated kissing scene. There were many rumours about her and other guys, her skipping school and much more. Ayame admired her for withstanding all of that. Fortunately, teachers weren’t paying much attention to these rumours. Stella was glad that at least they were fair.
During lunch, Ayame dragged Angel Minnie to the top of the stairs. When he saw Stella, he turned around and wanted to leave, but Stella caught his wrist. He smacked her hand away.
“Don’t touch,” he snapped at her. “After everything you did, you have no right to touch me anymore,” he yelled.
“At least let me tell you my point of view,” she shrieked.
She took a deep breath and started. She told Angel everything about her deal with ChimChim, how he treated her and Lilith’s bullying. When she ended, Angel was looking at her sadly. He sighed.
“Okay, I’m sorry. I should have asked you about everything before judging the situation,” Angel muttered.
“So, friends again?” she asked and offered her hand for him to shake.
He looked at her hand, then at her and hugged her instead. She put her hands around his back too.
“Of course, I will be your friend forever,” he smiled sadly. She smiled back. Ayame joined them in a group hug. Stella was glad that she cleared the misunderstanding with him, at least.
“Maybe, I should finally introduce you to others and tell you what’s going on with Christian ChimChim and me. I am sorry he put you through this. It was all because of me,” Angel Minnie said when he released Stella from the hug and turned around.
She sighed. “Okay, I want to hear your explanation if all this has to do with you.”
She looked at Ayame, who already had her hand ready and started to hit Angel.
“This was all because of you and that stupid thing between you and that Antichrist? What are you, 5-year-old? For Christ’s sake, when will this all end? You prick, I am fed up with your bullshit. And you have to get also your crush into this? What do you have instead of the brain – sawdust or sauce?”
She was spitting fire as she spoke her mind about the whole thing. Stella wasn’t so sure what was going on. She started to laugh.
“Alright, alright, let him be for now. I want to hear everything before you – or maybe later me too – will kill him.”
Angel stared at her in disbelief. He has thought about whether it was a good idea to mention anything to her, but now he has no choice. Angel had to explain everything. He sighed and cleared his throat.
“Alright then, we will meet the rest of the group after school. I will assemble everyone. So let’s meet then. I am out of here since the break is over.”
The school bell rang shortly right after he said it. They all went to their classes, and Stella couldn’t wait for the end of school. She stared at clocks now and then. Stella sighed, relieved that school had ended, and headed towards the art club where they were supposed to meet. She stood before the door and heaved a sigh. Stella mustered up the courage, put her hand on the door, and swiftly pushed it open.
